    Right, back...

Ooohhh, Tories 9, Liars 5... all hold for now... Tories gain 5 councillors, liars lose 5.

Blimey, Labour gain one (in Worcester). Methinks there aren't going to be too many of those tonight.

+6 gain councillors Tory, -4 liars after 23 of 176 overs. Sorry, councils.

        Bit like cricket this.

So, what's the benefits of being a local councillor - anything like Deputy PMs get?

Not sure. I've been to several planning committee meetings in our area to voice opinion and there is an absolutely stunning bird there. She is a model as well. My neighbour is also the councillor for the area so hopefully I can answer that question in due course.

Net change is still evens although liars are -1 councils, and -23 down councillors with 44 of 176 overs - quarter of the way there...

Hmmm, starting to see a bit of a Lib Dem impact causing a NOC with the Tories - no overall control.

I don't think liebour will lose the number of seats that has been predicted...shame...

They're -35 councillors at 30% of total... bliar needs to lose 200 seats for it to be the biggy.

What's the problem? In Brum Cons made alliance with Lib Dems and now control council: sounds like a reasonable flexible decision.

I didn't have much truck with this Labour meltdown theory. Okay, so a few hacked off nurses probably didn't vote today, but there is no way they were going to start voting Tory.

Yes, I guess it's the old spin mechanism: bring on the doom 'n' gloom big time to invigorate the electorate...

I'm onto Laphroaig whisky tonight LB. Had a really hard week with 2 clients all demanding results at the same time. Worked 19 hours on Sunday...jeeez...and no bank hols either - worked through. Mrs hyperD was studying for exams as well. This weekend we'll relax a bit. Hence the venture into watching the elections, drinking whisky until the late hours before I have to meet client #1 for a chat and client #3 for a telecon...
