That is bulltulip, if budgets change or priorities change or some new bean counter wants to show he can cut costs then contractors a first out the door, regardless of skill. You are heading for disappointment if you think you will have a never ending contract because your skills are in demand at the client.
No... you're wrong. Fujitsu made a load of guys redundant while I was there. In fact I renewed twice in a time where contractors where supposed to be replaced with permanent staff on renewal... My current Client Co Let 1000 employees go this year and yet here I am, nearly in December, choosing to leave of my own accord. (still being offered a renewal for next year.) Skills are not just technical...

Ever heard of Survivorship bias, you may want to look it up. Or maybe I am wrong, you are so skillful even if a company was going under they would sack everyone, sell all the assets just to extend your contract. What a deluded cretin.
