The doom just gets worse...
Well then, happy lost decade everybody.
Wales First Minister Carwyn Jones has expressed concern that foreign companies may be put off from investing in the UK because of its "negative" image.
With high unemployment and sluggish growth, the First Minister insisted his administration's main priority is to stimulate growth.
But he claimed efforts to turn around the principality's fortunes could be undone because big players in the global economy viewed the UK as an unattractive place to do business.
Mr Jones, who recently visited the Far East on a trade mission, said: "I was worried to learn that the perception held by many in China, is the UK is not an attractive business proposition.
The riots in London received significant Chinese media attention and the UK is seen as pursuing an austerity agenda - which may impact negatively on decisions to invest in Wales.
"It's not only damaging confidence in the UK, but it could hinder the work we are doing to attract high quality trade and business opportunities. We have to make sure the UK is perceived more positively abroad than it is now."
