    This came to me today:

    Start: July/August 2005
    Length: Open
    Where: Kabul/Afghanistan
    Project: We are currently searching for employees for the development of a bank in Afghanistan in the areas of:

    - Project Management
    - Software Consulting (Banking/Credit)
    - Network-Specialists
    - Database-Specialists

    - Development from the conceptual design to operation
    - 6 various locations - 3 must be remotely developed
    - Complete development of a computing centre, Infrastructure, etc..
    - Implementation of the entire landscape
    - Client Server Systems/ assumedly based on Oracle
    - Client System Windows based (XP assumed)
    - Operating System Sun Solaris / Unix
    - Training for the Afghan employees

    Where did you see it? No contract in two years - I'll consider anything!

    Done quite a bit of new site set-ups, and I can shoot pretty well

    Now where did I put the armoured car brochure?

          How safe is Afghanistan these days? The news tends to be dominated by Iraq, save for the odd reported kidnapped (although minus the decapitation).

                    The melting of the winter snow generally brings an upsurge in attacks, our correspondent says, but this fighting season has so far seen many more incidents than expected.
                    Well, unlike Afganistan, we have Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter as our Seasons...
