So what if all of northern Europe refuses to pay any tax? You know, a sort of taxpayer revolt?Originally posted by wobbegong View PostThere is no maximum and you'll start paying (via your taxes) the next time Greece defaults. And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? If something like that was ever going to happen in the UK it would've done already.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View Post

Most of the UK has had any trace of rebellion drained from it. Look at the average intelligence and level of initiative amongst most of the general populace. It's depressing.Comment

Ah, but in northern Europe (the bits where we pay the bills) people are getting pretty peeved. Not just about the Eurodebt but about the banking troubles in general, the huge disparities in pay between top and bottom of businesses and a feeling that the middle classes are being bled dry. Mind you, we're all at work all day so we can't really go out and revolt. But if unemployment rises and the middle class start taking the hits, hmm....could be interesting.Originally posted by Churchill View PostIf something like that was ever going to happen in the UK it would've done already.
