In which case I'm sure 12 months half price is the minimum deal you are prepared to accept. And no cashback malarkey.

sounds good to me... will definitely be going in there with all guns blazing... woudln't be so bad except for the fact it took over an feckin hour for them to sort the stoopid contract out on saturday and now I have to do the whole thing again!

nah they're gaining my custom... I'm porting my number from O2 to my new vodafone account. I did wonder whether it was them lying but I can't see what they'd gain from it... if phones4u try to claim this then I'll be telling THEM to ring voda there and then and sort it out.

Raising voice in the shop will scare other customers away - they may want to keep you quiet with a bribe Don't get pulled to one side away from the other customers you lose your bargaining position as its one on one.

Absolutely. This is why I love it when a supplier screws up within those first seven days - in fact I positively encourage it. It gives you a massive advantage that you can ruthlessly exploit to drive the deal down to rock bottom. It's even better if it's a retail type shop because the last thing they want is you making a scene or telling other customers "do you know what they did", which you should of course start doing if they try to play hardball.

Beg pardon, it's 5 days. Consumer Credit Act 1974 is your boy. It's only 7 days if you weren't in the shop to close the deal (Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000).
