My daughter was into her first year at Uni and she f**ked up.

Still, you can laugh until it happens to yours.
That's what gin and rusty coathangers are for.

Sounds a fun lesson, or are those separate sessions?

Hmm, tough break. Has she dropped out and/or is the guy still around?

Not a very likely contingency if they have inherited MF's looks.
He has a face like the northern end of a southbound Yak!!!

She managed to finish the year, but will have to skip the next one, at least.

Teenagers are strange things when it comes to that kind of tulipe. They're 'friends', whatever that means these days

There was a lass on my uni course who got pregnant at 18 as well. Apart from a short time off she did each year and finished the course. Why does she need a year off?

She'll have a sprog. Grandad won't be looking after it, trust me. I've got my rock and roll lifestyle to preserve.

Mrs Mangler has just got her career back after the 'chippy' got sold, she's into social work and all that lefty crap.

If she's got the where with all to sort herself out, there's nothing to stop her going back sooner I suppose, but she'll need to make the effort to get her tulip into gear.

Hey, these things happen. Seems a big deal at the time (and is) but usually all works out in the end. Wait till you get your mitts on the wee bairn and you'll fall in love all over again!

Well, thanks k2p2. Sure doesn't look like that at the moment but you'll probably be (nearly) right.

I'll be watching from a safe distance though

(I still blame the dad. Lack of discipline, can't stick to one job. Probably a middle aged rocker with a lefty wife).
