Strange the way it all worked out I suppose, Apple in front now after being a furlong behind after the first furlong. Microsoft missing the whole point of communication technology for the last 15 years. SUN geting bought by Oracle.

The iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch are computers. I use my iPad to edit code, SSH into servers and run stuff at the command line, SFTP files. In fact, I also have apps on my iPhone that let me do all that.

Even the humble iPod Shuffle is OK as a file server, if a little on the slow side. I managed to put SIMH and and a guest OS on mine and it ran fine.
