    Well, that's it then

Today was my last day of permiedom after 30+ years.

Kids are grown up, time to work on my retirement fund. 1st gig starts on Monday and runs until Aug next year so it gives me the opportunity to establish a warchest...

    Rock on!

Be aware that if they want rid of you they can finish you on the spot.

        WWS

Your contract runs until they run out of work for you.

Gotta keep you head on straight though. A year long contract after so long in permie land is going to make it very easy for you to fall back in to the rountine you were used to. It is going to be difficult for you to remember you are a contractor and they are your client. Make sure you read up on IR35, understand it inside out and stick to it, almost to the point of being anal.
