Most Germans don't shop in Lidl or Aldi either. Rewe and Tenglemann all the way.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Some of the LIDL german meats and stuff are actually alright. Anyone that has actually experienced life in Germany can attest to this.
For those whose knowledge of all things teutonic derives simply from reading Commando comics, you can expect uninformed waffle and derision, but best to treat their ill-informed musings with all the contempt they deserve.

I haven't tried them in the UK but I did go once or twice in Germany for "English week" when they would sell English delicacies such as pies and salt & vinegar crisps, all brands you have never heard of. The beans were probably on a par with crosse and blackwell i.e. not heinz.

Tenglemann had salt and vinegar crisps all year round, with a picture of a double decker bus on them. They also sold tulip "english style" bacon which was good for a fry up with a few nurnbergers.

I don't suppose lidl here sell German style würst do they? What about proper beer?

I am told that Aldi meats and fish are good quality too. I really must try them, since the meat here in Chocolate Land is pretty pricy.

I pop in occasionally to see what barmy gadgets they have.

chocolate brand - Roth or Rother - suprisingly good.

I go in for their wurst and sauerkraut, and yes their chocolate is good.

Maybe your kid was sick because he had the bumper size pack. I'd do something about that before he turns into the side of a house...
