You can avoid the M4. M3 in to London past the M25 is very very fast. The A316 is a bit slow, but OK. Go up Syon Lane to the A4 and take a back road to Ealing.Cats are evil.Comment

One way to avoid the North Circ and Hanger Lane is to park on Pope's Lane (free) and walk to Acton Town and get the tube a few stops to Park Royal."A life, Jimmy, you know what that is? It’s the s*** that happens while you’re waiting for moments that never come." -- Lester FreamonComment

What route are you going to take?

You could drive to West Ruislip, park in some side street (or the station car park if there is one), and get the tube straight to Hangar Lane.Originally posted by k2p2 View PostDestination is Hanger Lane, which is North Circular I think.
I'd join M3 at 4A, so would miss Fleet services. Or could go A30. Looks like M3 to Sunbury then across via Richmond is a shorter route, but that would probably be worse for traffic.
But that would still mean having to go round the M25 as far as the M40 junction (from which West Ruislip is only about a mile).
edit: DOH! Just noticed you've found something closer - Congrats!Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

Too much time on your hands.Originally posted by MarillionFan View Post18 minutes for every 70 miles.
So that's 36 minutes per day
or 180 minutes per week. Which is 3hrs
So 156 hours per year
Which is 6.5 days per year at 24 hours, but of course we could equate that to working days at 8 hours which is approx 20 days per year
Which over a working life time of 47 years is 940 working days per year at an average cost of £500 per day(with no increase for ease like) is approximately £500k in total, but assuming an inflation rate of 5% then you are looking at around £1.8Million over a working lifetime or 940 working days of sitting on your ass and watching TV.
Your point was?
