Our local council found it confusing. They had no grit or snow ploughs because they had listend to ***** like this.

I have yet to see a BMW get up a hill in the snow. Not a problem in NL.

They must have listened to a hell of a lot of it to have had memories from 12 months ago completely erased. More likely they saw an opportunity to divert some money into more essential services like the staff canteen and Christmas party.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that VWs are German! I'd choose Benz or BMW or Audi, according to your own lack of taste, but then that's my particular lack of taste.

They seem to tackle the hills in Bavaria well enough, and Swiss and Austrian ski resorts are full of Beemers, Audis and Mercedes. I even saw a 911 with a roofbox once.

              Cleared roads and winter tyres.

Audi and 911 probably 4x4 versions too and in Germany they sell 4x4 3 series which is not available in the UK, because the Global Warming experts stated it would never snow again.

I saw a Ferrari with a cycle rack on its arse end. Most peculiar.

The old Ferrari Dinos used to have wooden\chrome luggage racks on the boot.

I like all of them. The 250 GT Lusso would probably be my favourite. The bumperless competition one I saw is probably the most perfectly beautiful car I've ever seen.
