You need to compare like for like, they were burning the American flag in the UK, so that would be like burning the Syrian (say) flag in Iran.Originally posted by AtW View PostCan you burn Iranian flag in Teheran and stay alive?
The only way to achieve peace in the middle east is the zero state solution. Just bomb the whole place into dust so that nothing can survive and fence it off to stop people getting back in. Sorted.While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

Personally I'd give the Palestinians a forum in which to air their views and by doing so recognition of their State.

The Septics refer to this (often) in terms of the costs in "Lives and Treasure"
WTF do they mean by "Treasure" - are they all a gang of pirates, arrr?Comment

Nothing I said was libellous. It has been reported (by the socialist press no doubt) that Galloway gave £25000 to Ismail Haniyeh. It is Galloway himself who says 'this is not charity, this is politics' as he hands over a bundle of what appears to be money to the gentleman next to him (Hamas member). Galloway then goes on to state:Originally posted by cojak View PostI've deleted some threads on here. Admin can take a look at them and if he's happy replace them.
Please remember the difference between expressing dislikes and stating (potential) untruths Chaps...
It is worth noting that the sanctions that he refers to specifically prohibit funding Hamas, not the government of Palestine. An intelligent man like Galloway must know the distinction between the two. Infact, it's claimed that Galloway even told the Charity Commission:Just in case the British government or the European Union want to face me in any court, let me tell them live on television: I personally am about to break the sanctions on the elected government of Palestine.
Seems he does know the difference.that he had handed over £25,000 in cash to Hamas and acknowledged that this was not the Charity’s money. In addition he informed the Inquiry that in order to distance the Charity from this act he had been very clear that it was ‘personal money’ that had been handed to Hamas
I then linked to the Hamas charter which is clearly anti-semitic. I did not accuse Galloway of being racist or anti-semitic, I leave the reader to make their own conclusion whatever that may be.
The youtube link refers to Galloway promising to 'drive them away' I simply asked Paddy if he had any idea who Galloway was on about driving out of Israel?
5 minutes onwards from below.

Galloway is welcome to sue me for libel, I have based my comments on the facts as linked to; the donations to an organisation that is inherently anti-semitic. Whilst I do not like the man my opinion is not clouded by malice.
You are more than welcome to read up on the defence of fair comment. Why?
first, the comment must be on a matter of public interest;
second, the comment must be recognisable as comment, as distinct from an imputation of fact;
third, the comment must be based on facts which are true or protected by privilege;
fourth, the comment must explicitly or implicitly indicate, at least in general terms, what are the facts on which the comment is being made. The reader or hearer should be in a position to judge for himself how far the comment was well founded; and
fifth, the comment must be one which could have been made by an honest person, however prejudiced he might be, and however exaggerated or obstinate his views."I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. Now, you see I deleted that because I thought better of it after posting.Originally posted by Incognito View PostHave you been dumped or something, because you're coming across as a right arse the last couple of days.
On reflection I wish I'd left it where it was.
You're a right whinger at times and you never seem to know just when to stop. Is it a "Scottish" trait?Comment

How am I a whinger? I have quite a strong view on a topic that I personally think you're trolling about. I'm replying to an accusation that I've posted something libellous. You've posted something quite arsey, you even realised it was quite arsey so deleted it and then got arsey again because I asked why you're being arsey.Originally posted by Churchill View PostNow, you see I deleted that because I thought better of it after posting.

You're normally an alright bloke, now you're just being an arse."I hope Celtic realise that, if their team is good enough, they will win. If they're not good enough, they'll not win - and they can't look at anybody else, whether it is referees or any other influence." - Walter Smith
