Well, yes, quite. The less said about that particular incarnation the better I think. And dont get me started on Sylvester McCoy!

Anyway, good or bad, we are all The Doctor and those meddlesome tin cans had better watch it. I've still got my Sonic Screwdriver you know!

'tis true. I must be slightly younger than you, and my first Doctor was Tom Baker. All other Doctors since him have been, quite frankly, a bit on the gay side (Peter Davidson, Colin Baker (very gay), and gayest of the gay, Sylvestor McCoy)

Now, if you were the Tom Baker version ..... well, he was the Daddy of all Doctors in my mind

zeit - there is no point trying to educate an inferior race, they will never learn. How often have they been defeated by The Doctor ? and how often do they come back for more, only to be defeated again ?
Nearly as bad as Cybermen .....

So is it just me or are the story lines and plot devices in the new Doctor Who complete pants?

Farting aliens, shopwindow dummies that suddenly sprout guns for no apparent reason etc.

Like you said earlier, the Dr that you grew up with will always be the best

Yeah and the BBC requisite quota of ethnics - it really is pants, the crimble special was double pants
