My Mum & Dad had a Bedford Dormobile when I was a kid. Fond memories indeed.

A mate of mine used to have one of these:

It wasn't a camper van but we kipped in it a couple of times. Not the most comfortable thing in the world.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

                In Germany and abroad,

I've seen German registered Merc Sprinters (guess the coach builder is in Germany)

                and

for all intents and purposes they look like a normal black or white Merc
                Sprinter panel van,

but they have a few subtle clues, like ventilation points and the odd blacked out
                window

and inside they are luxurious campers but because of their modesty they don't attract
the attention of the big white plastic lump campers

anyone else seen this, who is the coach builder ?

                Milan.

I bought the missus a 79 Westfalia for her 40th - imported from California so it was rust free and restored locally. Spent a bit more than I wanted to but once you start these things there is always something else to spend your money on. The only mistake we made was get a cheap awning.

That would be an interesting conversion - given mine was the last of the bay windows - presumably the diesel is watercooled?

The last of the bay window type 2s like mine and the early type 25s were still aircooled - which reminds me - they are freezing in winter unless they have the optional petrol fired heating.
