    Although I'm glad they're being rationalised.
    Economies that are doing well are ones that have a flat low rate of tax. Being flat rates they do not require an army of civil servants to collect tax.

      As the size of Tolley's Tax Guide increases, the number of HMG tax inspectors needed increases exponentially.

      It's been published for 100 years or so. Gordon Brown managed to double its size in only 10 years. He's a prat.

      Simplifying tax legislation sems a no-brainer to me but what do I know.
