As the size of Tolley's Tax Guide increases, the number of HMG tax inspectors needed increases exponentially.
It's been published for 100 years or so. Gordon Brown managed to double its size in only 10 years. He's a prat.
Simplifying tax legislation sems a no-brainer to me but what do I know.

Abolish Income Taxation and Social Security.
Grant each and every UK Citizen a flat 'Dignity' allowance per month - paid automatically into Bank Account.
Withdrawl of UK Miiltary from all OverSeas Operations - dedciate UK forces to protection of the realm only.
Abandon Trident.

HM Revenue & Customs in £1.6bn cost-cutting 'challenge'
It said money-saving plans included cutting staff numbers by 10,000and reducing the number of offices but said the measures needed to be developed.
