I once worked with a contractor who remote accessed his home pc from the client site so he could have loads of downloads ready for when he went home at weekend.
...my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...
Besides, in the unlikely event my client has a clue where I go for 'technical discussion on a variety of topics', I try not to incriminalise myself too much. Admitting to downloading anything is bad enough.

Fecking Virgin Media!!!!! Stop disconnecting my broadband you bastards when torrenting!!!!!
You're a bit stupid using soley Virgin Media. Expect a infringement letter soon ....
Im a virgin customer and well aware of their traffic shaping, also aware of the crackdown on torrenters.
I go through a foreign VPN to avoid infringement letters ... Have done for years ... It is a must in todays climate ... Torrenting directly through your ISP or even worse, p2p, is foolish in the extreme ...
Ultimately, the best solution nowadays is usenet groups accessed through a VPN ...
Ultimately, the best solution nowadays is free direct downloads from a variety of file hosts, with links found via various public forums dedicated to such antics.
FTFY. They get away with it much the same way YouTube et al do. i.e. content is user uploaded and they'll take it down when anyone complains. As each item is taken down someone else uploads it.
The only way they'll stop piracy is to make content cheaper and easier to get legally. Otherwise people will always find a way.
Though being a contractor I rent a place in the USA and fly over for each new episode of my favourite shows.

Obviously I've never used them, but I have heard this method can be made easier by using something called JDownloader.
Been torrenting for years and have no morals about it.
I still go to the cinema on average twice/month, the rest I download and copy to the media box and watch on the 50inch telly.
TV shows (the only one I downloaded was Lost - which after the first 3 seasons I got bored with) are a giving for downloading, I would never wait and watch it on the TV.
I havene't bought music since oh lets see, about 9+ years. Probably most of the music I've downloaded I had owned on vinyl/tape/cd pre year 2002 (when I stopped buying cds).
Would I ever stop? Yes if I was ordered to by the law...
