I asked the following questions and got the following answers :

So you found it right? (Yes I can feel it)
Is it serious (Well we have to wait for the ultra sound)
Sure but in your opinion is it serious (Well it's hard to say)
When is my ultrasound? (They'll contact you in 10 working days)

I left the doctors in pieces. What an unfeeling doctor. I mean ffs I have a lump!! 2 week waiting for a scan, and from what I read things can change daily and get very nasty in a short space of time and get into the lymph system.

So the NHS post code lottery continues.

Had a problem with cancer waiting lists in Mar/Apr 2010. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer, was told he needed to see the cancer specialist to discuss treatment. This was on a Wednesday. It was 3 1/2 weeks before he saw anyone because a) the consultants only meet to discuss cases on Fridays - too soon for the Fri coming up, b) it was Easter weekend the following week - so no meetings held on Good Fri
    c) the following Fri was taken up with cases from the previous Friday.

So Mum, Dad and rest of family have 3 1/2 weeks of inital hell waiting to find out if any treatment was possible.

At the same time we were listening to politicians telling us how they guarantee that all cancer patients will be referred within 2 weeks.

I once bashed my shin quite hard and had a lump the size of a small egg develop. The doc wasn't interested, but when it became painful and itchy I decided to get a needle out and after sterilisation lanced it, which resulted in a foot high geyser of clear fluid come out, and feeling of great relief. That sorted it. Not recommended though. They even reckon you are better off leaving blisters alone (unpopped) now.

Slightly inaccurate title there Suity; kind of gives the impression of immediacy - I thought you'd nearly smeared yourself under the wheels of a bus.

Maybe 'Nearly One Nadge Suity' might have been more reflective of the story...

Oh you've set up a doozy there! But I'm not going to say it. Best behaviour me.

Is anyone else humming to themselves Colonel Bogey March after reading this?

Can we get admin to change his tagline to "Suity has only got one ball"?

My sister had a cyst on her wrist and they (Hospital) removed it, they made a right bollocks (no pun intended SY01) of it too, it now looks like she has a massive scar from a botched suicide job.

I know it was hard enough typing it, let alone saying it
