Cooking, washing and ironing? Not a chance in hell in this house.

Shopping? now she seems to have a gift for that.

This time of year the gardener is here three days a week there's so much to keep on top of. The painters doing the outside of the house will be here for about a week. The bridges over the stream require maintenance yearly and that's scheduled for next week.

The upside of all this is a beautiful place to sit out of an evening and just bask in the views or have a barbecue in the dedicated area, or retire to the pagoda for some solitude and listen to the water running downstream. Oh, and the orchard for apples and pears at the appropriate time of year. The bonfire and firework party in the winter or spending some time with the telescope in the obervatory.

          Me, me, me...

Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

It's a nice place to be considering I have to live and work in the same place. Keeps the head together.

Not a single double entendre about strimming your wifes bush, what to do with a water butt or mentioning that EO is an uphill gardener.

                    Standards are dropping.
