The upper class lounge was very pleasant and comparable with many decent restaurants, a colleague managed to get me upgraded to use the upper class lounge (friend of a friend). A couple of minor celebrities & rich people in there (it was a weekend red eye so real money would travel during the weeK) so I would imagine if their upper class was bad they wouldn't bother.
Would recommend the premium economy, not sure I would pay for it personally, might do on the company or if it was a special occasion.
I'm pretty sure the virgin website will answer seat power questions better than us.
Like the sound of it. I'm trying to get to Las Vegas in October, If I booked Virgin premium will I automatically get upgraded to business? Flight is 9+ hours. the days of auto upgrades are long gone but premier economy is a good shout but you can upgrade your legroom in the economy section also, defo worth a shout as for £30 each way a little more legroom is a blessing, godsend on a recent HK trip.Comment

sorry premium economy is the collective's idea of business class. Just means over 8 hours you don't have to stand in cattle class. I'm not that important I get first class, for one thing I know what I'm doing - sometimesComment

Perfectly fine for the average caucasian male, but for a gutbucket like you they will probably insist you go in the hold in some sort of Hippo Shipping Crate.Originally posted by d000hg View PostThe main thing we were interested in is the seat width

How does that work? If they have seats free they pick people?Originally posted by vetran View PostDid Virgin premium economy to SA (>8 hrs then you get upgraded to business class)
The planes we looked at there were more upper class than PE seats, which was a bit odd. Still unsure why Virgin upper class is 1/3 the price of other airlines, it seems almost cheap in comparison!Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Au contraire. As a diminutive short-arse, I don't find economy uncomfortable.Originally posted by shaunbhoy View PostPerfectly fine for the average caucasian male, but for a gutbucket like you they will probably insist you go in the hold in some sort of Hippo Shipping Crate.

Upper class does look nice though, especially having a bar you can walk across to. That just seems odd on a plane.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
