I think you'll find that's his natural smell.

I am looking forwards to the "crackdown" on uninsured vehicles.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

A couple of yonks ago, my wife hit a car, smashing its headlight in a low-speed collision. The owner of the car, on seeing the damage, said to her boyfriend "Great, I get a new paint job now". We got a letter from our insurers asking us for the details of the accident. We mentioned what the lass had said, and stated that there was no damage whatsoever to the paintwork of the car. A few months later, we got another letter stating that the other party had "declined to pursue the claim", and our no-claims was reinstated.

If it's worth their while, the insurers will send a loss-adjuster to have a word.

Just found out my insurance paid out £5K on this claim (for a dent the size of your fist in the door). Apparently, the woman had independent medical evidence of injury. Nice one, eh? Someone clips your door at 2mph and you can claim injury - something wrong.

Bit wassed off with insurance company. They were all up for investigating this as a fraud - arranged for someone to interview me etc but then they seem to have dropped it all. Paid out without telling me.

Bit wassed because instead of a £500 claim on my record I've not got £5000 inc personal injury which I assume is going to make a bit of a difference on my insurance in the future.

Anyone know if I can kick off and complain about the insurance company? Although I'm guessing something in the t+cs says they can settle claims as they see fit?

Well unhappy about it though. Its just too easy to claim like this. Insurance co couldnt be arsed either. As I told them it was in tesco metro car park and a look at the security cams would have sorted it all out that there was no way a injury was caused.

Write a letter to the insurance ombudsman stating you believe criminal fraud has taken place and insist the whole case is reinvestigated to see if a medical practioner has been involved in some kind of scam to rob the poor insurance company with misleadin medical claims for non existent injuries.

So, it cost 'em £5k plus change, how much do you think it would've cost them to take it to court?

Not £5K I guess to take a look at the CCTV footage (by asking Tescos nicely) and getting someone to look at it and then tell other insurance company to F Off.
