I can predict something: come the morning gray slates will still be grey, unless it has rained and then they'll be black or a seagul 'as been at them and then they'll be white.

    HTH

Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.

OR surely by now the mods could have a bot writing this repetitve sh1t. It would save me having to read this for the years*days*umpteenth time

Infact I need a bot to be disgusted by it for me.
I remember the good old days of this site when people used to moan about serious contractor related issues like house prices and immigration. How times have changed!?

And the reason for that is although many people have tried to quantify economics and make it a hard science like physics, in essence it depends on human crowd behaviour, so is a soft social science.
Fear and greed, that's all you need to understand
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

However, without society and "common good" you have anarchy, and anarchy my friend aint good for anyone
The word "anarchy," as most anarchists use it, does not imply chaos, nihilism, or anomie, but rather a harmonious anti-authoritarian society that is based on individual self-determination and personal involvement, but cruciallyyou can still have the concept of society... common good... I think we are wired at birth to care about others or not.

I would prefer to carry my own law and religion rather than have them imposed upon me by the state... in that context I am an anarchist (cue music)

that sounds wonderfully harmonious and smashing and I truly wish that humans could live like that......but, what if my interpretation of my personal "law" does not agree with your personal interpretation of your personal "law" e.g. with regards to property ?

This is one of the reasons why society needs commonly agree shared laws, customs and values

Such things are just illusions. Only those in power want you to have "commonly agreed shared laws" as a method of control and coercion.

in that case, how would you respond to my example of property ownership.

Well if you live there or work in it, then it is yours. If you don't then it is up for anyone who has need of it.

Say you have a farm, if you work or live on the farm then it is yours, if you just own it and someone else works it, then that is theft. You are stealing the product of his efforts.
