I'm not a Man Utd fan if you are referring to me. I was arguing that it was a more serious defeat than a bad night against Chelsea, that's all.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishing -
The bottom line is Fergie is the best manager ever, he can turn a group of average players into Champions League Final team and Premiership winning side, think what he could do with some world class players.Comment

I think Cloughie tops him, as does Charlie Wright when he was in charge at Bolton.Originally posted by Scotgal View PostThe bottom line is Fergie is the best manager ever, he can turn a group of average players into Champions League Final team and Premiership winning side, think what he could do with some world class players.
Let's not forget Big Eck was a game or two from the sack at the Theatre of Wet Dreams once....Comment

He has a few of them. The problem is he doesn't have them in central midfield. Carrick isn't up to snuff and Giggs and Scholes are too long in the tooth to compete with the very best IMO. Fletcher might have helped but I'd say he needs to bring in 3 good players as United have one of the weakest midfields of the top echelon at the moment.Originally posted by Scotgal View PostThe bottom line is Fergie is the best manager ever, he can turn a group of average players into Champions League Final team and Premiership winning side, think what he could do with some world class players. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. I was thinking, imagine if Man City bought Messi for £100 million or something crazy.
Also, imagine if Barcelona played in the EPL... that would be great TV.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

It could happen when he's a bit older but it seems to me quite likely that he'll spend his career at Barca. I don't think any of the players who came through the Barca youth system are likely to move of their own accord TBH. They seem like a very happy family.Originally posted by d000hg View PostI was thinking, imagine if Man City bought Messi for £100 million or something crazy.

Sorry but that sounds like piffle.Originally posted by d000hg View PostIf Team A beats Team B 5-0, then next game the score is reversed, you don't have a way to say one team is better. Hence it's not really meaningful... on occasion all the top 3-4 teams have twonked each other. If team A beats team B every time, it's a show of superior class.
I don't see why that's hard to understand. Having a proper discussion with a real fan of any team is kind of pointless though.
Ferguson said his side haven't been given as bad a hiding as they got by Barca on Saturday. The point being made is, they have. The two examples given were right good rogerings.
All this stuff about flukes, what happened next time and winning every time is beside the point.Comment

What I love about this thread is, that a few days ago it was 5 for Barca, 3 for Man Utd on the poll. Now it's 8 to 3, which means at least 3 posters have clicked the poll knowing the result.
They must be 'Well that's what I said all along' perms .
