I know who you mean but can't remember his name.

I didn't like Nigel Kennedy much either. I found his rendition of the Four Seasons a bit OTT in comparison with the LP version I used to have.

The one I had in my first flat. It had an eye level grill that took your eyebrows off everytime you lit it.

I don't like those who 'neg repped' me just for signing off as 'Bing!'

        How childish.

Do you mean their food or their media work/personality? I'd happily eat at any of their restaurants and I think both Jamie and Heston would be good to chat to... GR maybe not.

JO's early food I like and don't really care for the media hype. He does care but his PR person needs to calm down.
Would never eat in a Gordon Ramsay place, worked with some guys who had worked in his establishments and they called it the "mcdonalds of the michelin world". I'm not keen on chains as the standard can be iffy from one to the next
Heston is in danger of becoming seriously over exposed, but this is what happens. The fat duck is fun the first time round but these days it's more about the brand than the eating experience.

I have more respect for chefs that say "if my name is on the resturant and I have to be elsewhere, then it stays shut" Sat Bains being one of those.

Having worked in the industry albeit briefly, hotel and caterer and restaurant magazines are my equivilent of gazia or heat. With the added bonus of having worked with or met some of the chefs

I'd like to get pissed with Marco Pierre-White. Seems like a sound bloke. But then again I don't know him.

You are probably right. I think Keith Floyd would have been good for an evening's* entertainment too.

                * or lunchtime, or any time, probably.

I am slightly miffed at whoever negged me for saying "well done" to scooterscot on his new sprog. That's just churlish.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
