Scrag - if you click the thread title link in settings, it takes you to the post that rep was applied to. -
Sure, I understand that, but not everyone comments on all reps.Originally posted by realityhack View PostScrag - if you click the thread title link in settings, it takes you to the post that rep was applied to.
Would be nice to know what you got a rep for even if no comment.
Or is rep not 1 rep 1 point?Last edited by Scrag Meister; 24 May 2011, 08:44.Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.Comment

Now, that's more like it! However when you post those kinds of comments surely they should have negative rep?Thread:This ere Rep system
How about because you are a cock?

The rep awarded is based on the rep level of the person giving it. The higher your personal rep the more rep points are given, or removed, when you rep someone. The lower your rep the less it is worth when you rep others. Get a low enough rep your self and your repping of others becomes wothless. These show up as grey rather than red or green.Originally posted by Scrag Meister View PostSure, I understand that, but not everyone comments on all reps.

That's not correct. Only if you go negative does that apply and it means that your rep is worthless.Originally posted by DaveB View PostThe rep awarded is based on the rep level of the person giving it. Rule of thumb
Negatives = 1 rep per 1000 posts
Positives = 2 rep points per 1000 posts
Length of joining is important, there is a slight multiple on the join date of the poster, plus <1000 points are rounded up and only provide rep points after a decent join period (few months).
If you notice a rep come in which seems a little stupid and you notice it quickly you only have to look at the user online console Who's Online - Contractor UK Bulletin Board to see who is in what thread or doing what(ie. adding reputation).What happens in General, stays in General.You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

You'd have to be checking your settings page fairly frequently to spot that. If you care that much about it you need to get out more.Originally posted by MarillionFan View PostIf you notice a rep come in which seems a little stupid and you notice it quickly you only have to look at the user online console Who's Online - Contractor UK Bulletin Board to see who is in what thread or doing what(ie. adding reputation).
