One thing I remember watching Dragons Den is that they were looking for people they could work with as well as good ideas. They turned down a few people because they couldn't see themselves working with them even though their ideas were great.
The impression I got was that Susan, after graduating from university, pursued her skincare business full time and, hence, has no experience of corporate culture/environments.

I think if she had a few years in a large corporate, she wouldn't be as naive as she is and there would be fewer dumb ass questions.

She has bags of enthusiasm, some common sense and seems to know her product but just needs someone to mentor/guide her.

TBH, none of the business plans were particularly innovative and, like Sugar, I was surprised at the particularly poor idea from Helen.

Helen and Jim had the weirdest ideas of anybody. Jim's was very ambigious. What was Helen thinking ? So many business ideas throughout the show and she comes up with some butler business.

A lot of that is down to how the program was edited. If she really was the naive she wouldn't have lasted as long as she did. Also her naivity was mentioned on several occasions but she was never brought to task over it in any serious way.

The issue Nick (and the people I know under 25) saw with her is that others talked over her due to definitely her age and she let them.

Though knowing some Chinese women they are often talked over by people who think they know better due to their small statue and the fact they look younger than they are.

Jim's was useless. E-learning providers particularly those who have targeted the public sector have been getting rid of staff and going bust.

Helen's wasn't well thought out. Those things already exist. I know people involved in one. Though one of them is also involved in other businesses.

Get over it folks, the series has finished. Surralan has invested his days pay and the show is over.

It might have come across that way, but I don't think that was the main reason.

In the wash-up program afterwards, Sugar said he wants to launch into the "beauty" sector, and that he is looking to work with Susan in future, saying there's a possible tie-in with Tom's bent nail-files.

Tom had a product which was already established in major retailers and could be easily expanded upon. Alan Sugar was simlpy following the ready made money trail.

As Sir Sugar said during You're Hired, Susan has not been written off and there is scope for bringing her products in on the back of the nail files.

                    So you did.

It contradicted your first point in my little brain, which is why I must have missed it. Never mind, what will he call his beauty-products company?
