Obama will get a spike in his approval ratings but within a week it will be back to political fighting with the Republicans.
In fact, this is already being spun as the fruits of the previous Republican governments labour re: Guantanamo, extraordinary rendition, war in Afghanistan etc.
The Guardian reported that the raid may have been brought forward due to the release of new Wikileaks papers last week which referred to some of the US intel behind the raid.Comment
