It does seem Stewart Lee disappeared up his own arse since those days.

A lot of people get a lot of pleasure from the Royals and tomorrows events will not only generate a lot of money for our ailing economy but it will also put us back on the map.

I'd like to see how much international interest would be generated by President Hucknall, or whatever ghastly left leaning politically active celebrity we'd end up with if these republicans got their way.

        God save the Queen.
I'm with the 'lefties' on this one. It won't generate a penny for the economy. It will, in fact, just cost us a lot of money fawning to these outdated parasites. Our household is the best part of a grand worse off for a start.

The alternative to 'these outdated parasites' I'm assuming is an elected president. Given the behaviour of our political class over the last few years (and beyond probably), I'm not of the opinion that there is much advantage in the anti-royalist position.

          Which leaves us where exactly?
          Older and ...well, just older!!

Could that possibly be because you _are_ a leftie?

Or from your past posts, sort of like Attila the Hun saying "I'm with the righties on this one".
