I quite like the David Lynch version, was suitably over the topOriginally posted by zeitghostIt's a pity they didn't bury the first one.
Then again, I read the first 3(?) books half a hu-man lifetime ago, then gave up.Coffee's for closers -

The last remake was described as twice as long and twice as boring as the previous one. Which if you've seen the David Lynch version is some acheivment.

It may be that certain books can't be fully represented in film, although I thought Lynch got a lot right.
