Hang on, so you jumped ship mid contact (A)for another contract(B).
This contract(B) got canned
Then contract (B) was offered again but at a lower rate?
If that's the case how do you know its not just an agent trying to screw more out of you knowing you'd just left another contract and would be desperate to get another in the current market, so he/she takes a gamble.
Naw maybe that's too far fetched... isn't it?I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

I've dealt with this agency before and know that they are reasonably reputable, and they were prepared to walk away from the client as a result of the cut. In fact, the agent was surprised that I was prepared to go in at a lower rate.Originally posted by Pogle View PostHang on, so you jumped ship mid contact (A)for another contract(B).

And regarding Contract A, I only had 2 days left on the contract before it came to an end, so my losses was a bit shorter than what it could have been. To top it off, the agent is paying for the 2 days loss of earnings.
The client has a bad reputation for penny pinching (They are employers for a friend of my father). So it was surprising that they were offering £400 p/d to start with. They wanted to go down to £250 a day, but managed to get £300. If I weren't in the position I was in, I would have walked away without any question. (No warchest as a result of the recession and being out of contract for 9 months last year).
I would normally agree with what you have just siad Pogle, but on this occasion, I have some trust for this particular agent. If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.Comment
