    Now that's just pure evil.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Same old. Like Kuwait. Let the West do all the work, foot the bill, take all the casualties, get accused of recolonising, only doing it to take the oil etc etc. etc, and have it used in Islamist propoganda.

One has to wonder why Arab countries are not doing anything except sit on their arses yet again. Egypt, itelf liberated from a dictatorship just recently, has the largest airforce in the region and it's pretty modern too, unlike Libya's. This is not a huge conflict and the Gulf states could fund it.

The 'west' is protected by those health and safety forms*, so this no fly zone won't ever get off the ground.

        * The same forms used to stop the ambulances going into those cumbrian towns when that nutter was randomly shooting people.

Is this going to be a case of closing the door after the horse has bolted if they 'discuss' it any longer?

What happens if they decide to go ahead with it after Ghadaffi has taken benghazi and pretty much crushed the uprising? Will it be Iraq 2.0?
I must say I'm scratching my head over this. Usually the British Government's foreign affairs algorithm goes "(1) Find out what the Yanks are planning, (2) Go along with it, (3) Goto 1".

But it does look a bit like Cameron, bizarrely, isn't quite singing from the same hymn sheet!

Perhaps it's some previously agreed show of defiance, to demonstrate that the UK is not America's poodle, and thus lend more credence to when we do go along with them in future.

Or maybe it's something to do with trying to bolster our presence in the EU.

Why would Cameron want to be Obamas lapdog, when Obama hates us because of his Kenyan roots

The Zionists are quite happy with Gadaffi being in power and the yanks go along with that, Cameron really has to understand that there will be no no fly zone.

The brutal truth is that a no fly zone would only prolong the civil war, which would mean misery for the people of Libya. The rebels may be able to win in the end, but it would take years. Gaddafi is the only one who can get a quick win here and end the whole thing.

Well the resolution was passed after all.

tbh I have no idea what will happen now.
