I have holidays so infrequently I don't usually go anywhere

Last year, I had no time off bar 1 week on the bench, until xmas when I had a few weeks off and that was only because the client side shut and I couldn't bill for those weeks

I'm too risk averse to take time off between contracts

Hotels are awful, expensive, filthy and are always trying to rip you off. You're free and mobile with a tent, usually situated in a great location and the cost is 0 pence upwards. I especially like the latter aspect.

If all goes to plan I'm hoping for a nice (minimum) 12 month 'working from home' holiday to Spain.

A nice villa with a pool for the summer and a log fire for the 'winter'. Don't visit.
