Well for a lot of the islands you can head 4-5 miles out to see and be in water 2000m deep so hopping in the boat and rowing like a crazy man is probably the best idea if you live on an atoll.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostBest avoid the Ring Of Fire then. While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. If you are in a boat it is safer to be on deep ocean sea as the deeper the water the less the wave will break, you may not even notice the tsunami go under you. The most dangerous place is in shallow water and near the coast."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George OrwellComment

Take a look at Google - never seen Google being used for a warning like this before. Not their normal blank white page with just a text box....:
Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

As soon as I saw a Wilmslow post on here I had to look. I was really expecting you to have said you saw this as a dating opportunity and had booked a ticket to Tokyo.Originally posted by Wilmslow View PostTake a look at Google - never seen Google being used for a warning like this before.
