    lol....cranky more like.

Seems to be a common degeneration for IT workers.

I reckon most IT people's sensibilities eventually go the way of HAL.

    It's our version of Alzheimer's.

    Take CUK for example....
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I broadly agree about the hatred and discrimination, but I think it is about prejudice. There is certainly worse anti-semitism about, but nevertheless it is anti-semitism.
No he hasn't shown prejudice, i.e. he hasn't prejudged them on the basis of their ethnicity but has based his opinion on his own observations. And that's all it is, his opinion; there is no incitement or other activities that would contravene any anti-semitic law and therefore I think it a little harsh to label him so.

Old Greg has formed his opinion and he's quite entitled to argue the toss and show his lack of understanding in this matter to his hearts content.

See OG? I'm helping you, yes helping, that's right love, yes. Cup of tea?

FWIW he can label me what the hell he likes, I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Agree that: it is his opinion; there is no incitment; it would not contravene any laws. That was never the argument.

He has used his limited observations and applied them to the Jewish people. He has absolutely prejudged Jewish people based on their ethnicity (if that is the word we choose to use) - he has said, 'This is what Jewish people [who I have never met] are like'. What else is that?

You may think it a little harsh to label him. Is it not more than a little harsh for him to take his views based on his experience and apply them to a whole people, who as we know, have not always had a great time of it when it comes to prejudice?

              Hello Greg

Which is of greater emphasis for the Jews, the Torah or the Talmud?

Oh, so far from this being a personal attack on me you were defending the sensibilities of a group of people persecuted through the ages.

That's fine then. Only this is the way I saw the incident start...

Do you think that might be a selective view?

It's there in black and white. In order of posts.

You haven't got a clue what or who you are defending or even in fact if you're defending them at all.

                      EC4N has just proved that.
