Mine too. But if did have to go, this sort of carry-on wouldn't change my plans.

As Zippy said, getting hit by a bus is a 'possiblility'.

Yes. It used to be classified information, since telling your enemies what you know of their activity is foolish. Then Tony Frightened ****** Bliar realised he could use it as a government marketing tool and so it has been ever since.

I suspect the level as reported to us peasants is not the same as that used within the MoD.

Arguably, if you have indications that someone somewhere is up to something, but you know little else, then suddenly and publicly raising the threat level might panic them into giving themselves away, sort of flushing them out.

Admin, can we please change RCs' status to "RichardCranium should be in quarantine" ?

I think I've started to cough just reading his posts!

Is this terror news meant to divert our attention from something? Give us something to worry about instead of x? What is x?

x = anything to do with Peter Andre/Jordan/X- Factor/Strictly/Royal Wedding(s) and or Afghanistan.

Its all to do with Fate, when its your day to go its your day and there is nothing you can do about it.

Think about all the people you know who have died, and for instance maybe you know someone who was killed\ injured in a car accident, why was that person in that place at that time, if they had been 10 seconds further up the the road or had stopped for petrol or any other of the millions of option they could have taken they would not have been at that point at that time so fate has brought them to that point and it was their time to go, and there are countless tails of people from 7\7 who say i nearly got on that bus or i was on the train in front or i stopped to buy a paper so missed it, it was not their day to go.

I'm not entiiiiiiiiiiirely sure I agree with your reasoning here!

Accidents happen, sure. I think the huge difference is that a terrorist act is carried out to deliberately kill / maim people.
