It's a myth that cutting hairs makes then stronger and or thicker. Hairs don't have nerves and are in fact are dead beyond the skin, and they don't sprout branches when pruned because they aren't bushes. Each one of them does have a pair of muscles though, which I find interesting.

Is it that hairs appear thicker once cut/regrown, as the ends have been blunted?Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostIt's a myth that cutting hairs makes then stronger and or thicker. It's a myth, shaved hairs will just look darker when they grow back as they will not have been sun bleached.Originally posted by MaryPoppins View PostIs it that hairs appear thicker once cut/regrown, as the ends have been blunted?Comment

Plucking/trimming them might give a positive feedback to the nose, encouraging it to grow more hairsCoffee's for closersComment

Bald men have hair but follicular miniaturization may have progressed to the point of peach fuzz and beyond.Originally posted by Durbs View PostBut bald = no hair, whether thick, thin, sharp or blunt. Nowt to shave.
