There isn't any atm, unfortunately you have to put up with it for the rest of your life (I've got it quite bad) awful when you can't hear a thing when you're out in pubs etc...
I find it helps if you look at the persons lips as they're speaking, it helps you focus on that particular conversation.
I have it as well - I can't hear people speak to me if there's background noise. I had my ears tested out OK but my doctor told me it was age related.

Yup age, if you´re over 40 then "normal" hearing is still as deaf as a door post, and if you´re not yet as deaf as a door post you soon will be, so there isn´t a lot of point worrying about it, jusr get one of those big horns to stick in your ears.
