Just out of interest, why do you believe in an entity that doesn't obey the laws of physics?Hard Brexit now!

I think the lack of evidence for gods, coupled with the line of argument that says even a supernatural god would be unable to intervene in the universe without leaving a trace of doing so, not to mention the various logical and moral contradictions inherent in the usual human made characterisations of such a being all point to one conclusion.
I am quite spiritual though, and quite capable of acknowledging that I am at one with the universe and but a small part of it.While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

It never fails to amuse me how many atheists cannot spell the word "religion".
Compare and contrast these self-proclaimed intelligent men with the Pope who can speak, write and understand many modern and ancient languages.Comment

The question doesn't make sense. Like "what's outside the universe?" or "why can't you get colder than absolute zero?" it shows a basic lack of understanding of the fundamental axioms.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

If you want to answer it and not get all mystical.
It's simple.
I'm asking you why you believe there is a supernatural entity in the universe?
I'll get you started:
"I believe there is a supernatural entity because ....."Hard Brexit now!

Well Christianity is 100% based on the idea that God does leave a trace of doing so. However even if not, any arguments about what limits a truly omnipotent being has are difficult to reconcile with the idea of true omnipotence IMO. It's more a question for the scholars and philosophers though.Originally posted by doodab View Postthe line of argument that says even a supernatural god would be unable to intervene in the universe without leaving a trace of doing soOriginally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

Just for a moment, assume, like me, that there's no God; would that make the universe itself an omnipotent being?Originally posted by d000hg View PostWell Christianity is 100% based on the idea that God does leave a trace of doing so.
