I assumed MT was referring to eating less carbs - not necessarily unhealthy stuff.Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

Yes, but you can replace healthy high calorie high carb stuff like pasta with healthy low calorie low carb stuff like broccoli, green salad, green beans and so on. So, you have a greater volume of food, so you feel full, but less carbs and less calories.Originally posted by MaryPoppins View PostI assumed MT was referring to eating less carbs - not necessarily unhealthy stuff.
Admittedly brocolli bolognese is going to take some getting used to.Last edited by doodab; 1 December 2010, 14:47.While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

Italy are above UK, they eat a lot of pasta.

In the videos I've seen it appears they cook rice, throw it away and eat the starchy water that gets left behind.Originally posted by kandr View PostList of countries by life expectancy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That was my point. Or even more: don't cut calories, just cut carbs. When people do cut calories, it does them good, but only because it involves cutting carbs.Originally posted by doodab View PostYes, but you can replace healthy high calorie high carb stuff like pasta with healthy low calorie low carb stuff like broccoli, green salad, green beans and so on. Phew, I had only worked my way up to 1 a day. Presumably there is a health benefit though, as the lack of calories one gleans from consuming indigestible vegetable matter helps ward off obesity. One report doesn't debunk anything... these things come about as a combination of many reports, there are always some which disagree but if the majority support one direction, that's what makes most sense to follow.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostI thought that had been debunked recently too.
The fact individuals vary such a massive amount (some live to 90 smoking and drinking heavily, some die at 30 despite healthy life and exercise) makes any kind of conclusion hard to reach.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
