Malc espouses a side by side seating arrangement which, in my mind renders the proposed velociped a tricycle since the term tandem refers to a fore-aft seating arrangement. I don't mind side by side but we can't call that a tandem but Malc was having none of it. Furthermore, I feel fore-aft is more suitable for the continuation of our exploration of the West Country's disused railways this summer.Comment
