Exactly my point from last nights road rage incident.
I was in lane 2, merge sign on road to go to lane 1,but the jeep guy tried to continue even though I had nowhere to go, so he glues to my backside with lights on full beam.
You don't mention any of this in your OP. You just say the guy tried to undertake you.

We were are lights, in lanes 1 and 2.
I was level with the jeep guy. In front of me was a landy, in front of jeep guy a Mondeo.
Mondeo in lane 1 slow offthe mark, Landy sprints away.
Mondeo gathers speed and goes in front of me, which is cool.
Lane 2 ends with markers asking me to move into Lane 1, so I move into this lane behind the landy and the Mondeo.
Jeep guy clearly in a race with Mondeo honks horn, flashes lights, clearly pissed off I stopped his jeep vs Mondeo race.
I stop thinking he is undertaking me, although he has run out of road as I am already in lane 1 (lane 2 has ended).
I proceed, then slow to allow him to overtake even pulling over, but he stays behind me.
I then allow a car from the Romper pub ahead of me as did not like the idea of a clear road a head with a looney tailing me. The rest you know (other car sticking neck in after jeep overtake and goes through tunnels at 20 goading me to overtake but I refused to).
The roads are full of anger - life is too short to risk death or dissability over muppets.
He's normally to be found in traffic queues on dual carriageways where 2 lanes filter into 1 and he always straddles the central white line such that nobody can get past him and "push in".
I admit, I'm never the first to get into the left hand lane but I don't take the piss either. Just that fact that somebody actually takes it upon themselves to do such a thing is somewhat irksome.
Is this the chap who drives an Audi one day and a Golf the next?
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
Fine. Drove to Muenster and back in the Benz at the weekend, listening to some very serene Bach lute concertoes at about 200 kph while Lady Tester slept like a baby. You can't do that in an Audi.

A lot of that was just noise to me, but I agree that Audi's are pants.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.
