Ok - I think though, you are being a little unfair. The Army didn't make the choice to go to war, the politians did. The Troops are supposed to follow orders, so while they may well know what they are getting into, I don't think anyone expected it all to on for as long as it has done.Originally posted by BdP View PostOK, a sensible reply to a polite request.
I think "baby killers" was the wrong discription but as you've accepted it was a bit trolling anyway, I'll just ignore it.
I guess coming from an Army family, I feel they deserve our respect and support. But thats just my opinion.Bazza gets caught

Do you think an army is necessary for a western democracy?Originally posted by BdP View PostI hate to say it, but it sounds like there is no "Maybe" about it.....And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014Comment

I still need some clarification on why you refer to the British Army as "Baby killers".Originally posted by BdP View PostNo problem. I'm just so glad I have found a wonderful bunch of people who can debate serious issues rationally; without the need for personal abuse or petty, vindictive, South Devon inbreeding insults. Erm .....
Your response to "Cailin Maith" didn't answer that particular point.
Also I assume you meant "Wootton Bassett" in your post.

I'm NOT from an army family, but I also feel they deserve our respect and support, as I suspect do millions of others.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostI guess coming from an Army family, I feel they deserve our respect and support. But thats just my opinion.

Understood. I was just adding the voice of one who does not have that bias.Originally posted by cailin maith View PostCripes - I didn't mean that only those from an Army family felt that... I meant, I think that's where my bias comes from.Comment
