      For some previous permanent roles I did, but I haven't had to wear one for almost seven years now.
      You won't be alerting anyone to anything with a mouthful of mixed seeds.

        It depends on the type of client and how customer facing the project.

        Suit about 75% of the time although very rarely a tie.

          yep, city work requires a suit, saves me the bother of thinking about what I need to wear.

            Brown corduroy jacket with leather elbow pads, open toed sandles with grey socks, faun Farah slacks and a purple nylon shirt seems to go down well with most of my clients.

                Always, even if the client generally doesn't. If they have that Friday-come-in-your-PE-kit thing, I compromise by not wearing a tie. Which used to put me in the odd position of having to put a tie on specially at lunchtime to go for lunch in the club.

                      depends on the client, if they are stuck-up-stickybeets, then yes

                      its becoming rarer nowadays though
