If you are treated at any time for a mental health condition you will be put on the register. A letter from your GP saying they are ok now will probably work. otherwise I believe it is 12 years

I think 12 years being denied a job because you are on a register would be enough to make anyone ill.

No wonder the UK has a benefits problem!
