Question: the 4Gb of flash is not persistent store like in an SSD? Or is it actually a small SSD drive acting as internal cache?

from what I can gather, the SSD is a persistent store used as a quick access area for very frequently used files.
The drive is supposed to work out which files are best kept in the SSD area.

Personally I think that 4GB of SSD storage is a bit low for windows 7, I would have preferred to see at least 16 if not 32GB

If you're up to that level wouldn't you arguably be better just buying a separate SSD?

Still happy. I've defragmented since to get the most out of it after I cloned my drive.

The thing I notice most is the speed at which my apps open, lighting fast. Word 2011 for Mac was installed a few weeks back, click on the app and it's ready for use 6 seconds later.

Is 6 seconds to open word on a mac FAST??
Glad I have a PC then.

Maybe the key to Mac happiness is the lowering of expectations.

No, it's refraining from loading it with MS tulipe.

Anything with the MS insignia on Mac is sheet. Office 20111 is a massive improvement.

I'm not surprised, they've had over 18,000 years to get it right
