Get 100% of it for one year and this country has got 2 proper aircraft carriers that carry actual aircraft. Five such years and UK will match USA in aircraft carriers
I am not sure I have ever understood how they (the banks) work. However, if private banks can create debt bearing interest out of nothing (and/or come up with complex financial 'products' to trade off the back of these loans) then they are always going to have the complete upper hand. Is it this dead simple, or am I being dead simple?

I sincerely hope you've got in some professional management to run SKA, as you're too stupid to.
I am a taxpayer who helped to bail out GS among other banks.
The puny tax you pay on your tiny earnings couldn't bail out the corner shop.
And you don't pay tax in the US, so didn't bail out GS anyway.
And GS paid back the money making a 23% return for the US taxpayer.
You really fell out of the stupid tree and hit all the branches on the way down, didn't you?
If they don't owe the government money then they can do what they legally like with their money. If they are creaming too much off their customers then that's where competition and regulation comes in.
