It's a false dawn. This new lot will finance the purchase via obfuscation, debt and accounting trickery. That's the American business model.
In this economy nobody apart from Oil Sheikhs and dodgy Eastern European Oligarchs is wandering around with hundreds of millions of £s in their pocket looking for something to buy.
Simple equation is that they'll pick up something for a fire sale price, that they can probably polish up a bit and wring out a quick profit.
