At least the rest of the world can now see the incompetence we have to put up with when dealing with Bob in the IT industry.
If only there was a professional body that represents contractors who could be making these cheap gags to the media......
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
Well "The Times of India" have held a poll for readers to say if they thought India's image has been tarnished by recent Commonwealth games blunders (97% say yes), AND to say who they think is most likely to 'blame' out of a group of officials overlooking the project. LINKY
The following is completely unedited (apart from a single asterisk):
Kalmadi may not be the person to blame for everything that has gone wrong with India's preparation to host the Games, but public anger against him runs so deep that 73% of the respondents felt he was the one responsible for the mess. In fact, public fury against him has become viral — on Wednesday, he was the protagonist of many SMS jokes, some unprintable. In response to our question who was the most responsible, 19% blamed Sheila Diksh*t, 5% pointed the finger at M S Gill and 3% at Jaipal Reddy.
Doesn't India have a lot of bribery? So it's unsurprising why they are in a mess.
I did laugh when it was reported a ceiling collapsed in one of the venues. I wouldn't compete if I was in Team England, NI, Scotland or Wales because I wouldn't want a competition venue to collapse or fall apart on me whilst I was competing.
