2 degrees forecast for Saturday night so that is a no brainer, but what is the cut off point? 6 degrees? 7?

Central heating in my house is on 24/7 365 days a year (except leap years, when it's on 366 days a year), set to a nice tropical 26 deg C.

I like to see the missus walking round the house in her undies, not 5 jumpers and thermal underwear!

The best thing is it only costs about £800 a month for the gas bill too, so all in all cheap as chips!

Yep, it's quite common for old folk to feel the cold more. My gran always had the house roasting all year.

We used to have our a/c set to drop the temperature down to 80 F (27C) and it cost us a fortune.

When the night time temp dropped to the low 20's it felt chilly. It didn't happen much, maybe in bleakest mid winter and there had been a storm or something.
